Romans Wong, who had a special gift for connecting with young adults
In your prayers this month you’re invited to pray for:
– Rev Greg Schiller, who will serve as a mentor lecturer at Lutheran Highlands Seminary, Ogelbeng, Papua New Guinea, for one semester. Pray God will give him wisdom, energy, and good health as he teaches
– those grieving the death of Romans Wong, sent by the Lutheran Church in Singapore to serve with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Thailand. Thank God for the way Romans connected with young adults and pray those shaped by his ministry will continue to witness to Christ
– the safe arrival and effective use of the theological resources donated by LCANZ members for the seminaries of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Papua New Guinea. Pray they will strengthen theological education and equip students and lecturers for ministry
– those engaged in theological education at Sabah Theological Seminary. Pray God will equip and encourage them as they prepare the students to be grounded in Scripture, firm in faith, passionate about sharing the Gospel and faithful in teaching and serving their local communities
– Ipswich Lutheran Church, Qld and their connection with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Myanmar. Pray God will create new opportunities for meaningful connection, mutual encouragement, and shared learning so they’re strengthened through supporting one another in Christ’s mission
– the numerous mothers and babies who have been blessed through the Birthing Kits prepared and provided by LCANZ for use by Lutheran Health Services in Papua New Guinea. Give thanks for the generosity of those who assembled and donated the kits. As the program concludes, pray for God’s ongoing protection for PNG mamas and newborns
– staff and students of Grace Lutheran College, Rothwell and Caboolture, Qld and SMK HKBP Sidikalang and SMA HKBP Lawe Sigalagala TanahAlas, Indonesia will be enriched by their partnership
